Wedding Checklist - Create A Pinboard for Inspiration

I recently got engaged and have started the planning process.  I am finding this to be fun and stressful all at once.  However, when I do get excited I imminently call my fiance and my mother to let them know about my latest discovery..... I think they have gotten sick of me.  So I am going to blog about it instead and share my discoveries with you! That is why I created The Rustic Bride.  A blog dedicated to everything beautiful, rustic, DIY, and bridal.

So the very first thing I did when I got engaged was buy a planning binder. This was the best idea EVER!  It is organized by wedding details and the first section of the binder is checklists.  I have major OCD so I absolutely love this section.

My To-Do List for 12-18 Months before the BIG Day!
  1. Buy a wedding binder! Yep I can check that off my list
  2. Set a budget that is right for you... Setting the budget wasnt hard for us... sticking to it is the challenge!
  3. Start compiling a Guest List.... sigh... need I say more?
  4. Choose the location of your wedding
  5. Start researching and visiting venus... get on this ASAP
  6. Get your passport in order
  7. Pick a date!
  8. Choose your wedding party
  9. Start looking at wedding dresses and determine your style
  10. Start looking at wedding rings
  11. Start planning your engagement party
  12. Create a Pinterest board dedicated to your wedding ideas and inspiration (BEST idea EVER!!)

So here is a peek of my pins!

I have started collecting wood logs that I will cut for my centerpieces.  My bridesmaids have been great and when they go camping they always bring me back a few logs.

I am set on having my wedding outside as I want the rustic look... I just hope the weather cooperates.

I am trying to find some ideas for the head table. I am taking all suggestions!!

As favors I want to give pickles.  My fiance's family has a pickle recipe that I will use and make our favors personalized.  Yum!

So I am happy with my progress so far. Hopefully it will continue being this easy :)
